Ch7 News asked One Nation MP Barnaby Joyce about Gina Rinehart flying him around on her private jet. He asks would you prefer the taxpayer pays?

Pity they didn't ask him about claiming $675,000 in expenses for 9 months' work as Drought Envoy! Yet he never delivered a report on his work! #auspol

I don't remember business leaders requesting a RC into Robodebt, Aged Care or Wage Theft. Or saying ANYTHING about Israel's murder of thousands of Palestinians. Is their request for a RC into the Bondi Beach attack bc opposition to Zionism may affect their business profits? 🤔 #auspol #GazaGenocide

It would be practically and legally impossible to hold a royal commission that goes anywhere near the actions or motivations of the accused killer, before his criminal proceedings are concluded, which could take years. That limitation would render the royal commission itself pointlessly premature.

Does anyone know how a Royal Commission (state or federal) about the Bondi Beach murders right now might intersect with Sub Judice law, ie the requirement to not compromise the fair trial of a person who has been charged?
@marquelawyers.com.au ? Any comments?

How about business leaders first institute all the recommendations from the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry?

This press conference by Sussan Ley is the most unhinged, disingenuous, divisive, irresponsible press conference in my lifetime.

It was shameful.

Sussan Ley is clearly so far out of her depth that she deserves to be sacked by her party, purely for her own good.

This is perhaps the most contemptible thing any political leader has ever said in this country.

The sooner she f*cks off to obscurity the better for Australia.

Most will know I have thrown a fair bit at Penny Wong over the years - especially regarding Israel's genocide - so I am no great cheerleader for her.

But I am so fucking angry by Ley personally attacking Wong for no reason except racist dog whistling.

Frydenberg’s statements blaming Bondi terrorist attack on Albo are outrageous. Extremism and radicalisation exists in every society. Frydenberg and everyone else - inc. News Corp - who are using a devastating terrorist attack to score political points against Labor should be ashamed of themselves

Albanese has I think showed very strong leadership in the wake of the Bondi massacre. Has not attempted to self aggrandise as others have, has stayed out of the gutter politicking by Ley and Frydenberg. Got on with tightening gun laws.

Josh Frydenberg who was the Australian Federal Treasurer at the time of ROBODEBT. Distanced himself from the suicides and Mental Health Issues that it caused it's victims. Yet. He now wants a royal commission into antisemitism in Australia.
The hypocricy by Frydenberg is breathtaking.

A very low act, even for a former Alexander Downer protégé like Frydenberg.

Frydenberg exploiting a mass shooting to resuscitate his political career is a low act.

Sadly, I don’t expect any better of Frydenberg, a follower of the Howard method.

Don’t ever elect this prick again.

Just a reminder that ABC sacked Lattouf for an online comment about Gaza but Fauziah Ibrahim called us Libtards etc and she is on air right now.
The ABC has lost the plot. Their propagandist reporting is marching so far to the right, they're starting to look like going off a cliff.

Stan Grant criticising PM Albanese for the Voice failure is incredibly unfair. He should criticise Dutton, who led the No campaign. AND the mainstream media who actively promoted it. The ABC never even reported 3 former Liberal Govt Indigenous Affairs ministers supporting the Voice! #auspol
