Thank you to the staff of the NHS who are looking after my relative. They have just brought the patients Christmas dinner, presents and crackers. There is a lot of shit happening in Britain, but the NHS is something we can still be proud of.

The only wide angle shot I took during the Banda Sea Liveaboard was of this adult Midnight Snapper (Macolor macularis) at around 25m, while in search of Hammerheads.
Midnight Snapper have distincly different looks at its life phases. I can't wait to go back and look for the juvy!

Found only in the Galapagos Islands the marine iguana is the only marine lizard species in the world, they can dive as deep as 30m (98 ft) and spend up to 30 minutes at a time underwater

The Trumpetfish is such a ridiculous looking creature, they always make me smile. They are masters of color change as well, shading from brown, reddish, orange, and bright yellow. They often drift head-down like this, especially when hanging out in clumps of soft coral. 🦑 #scuba #diving #oceans

Coprinus Comatus, commonly called the shaggy mane mushroom. an inky cap mushroom that turns into a black sludge as it matures. this one is late for the season. this was part of a fairy ring but the others didn't look so hot for a good pic.
