Shamefully, I didn't become aware of Juneteenth until my mid-30's. As a white woman, I celebrated that America had come some way &, at that time, I felt we were moving forward to a future of less racism. Should have known the depths of the racism in America & anticipated the setbacks. Ever onward.✊
