Update. I phoned the number to cancel the subscription and after the hard sell was pushed on me I was told that they would cancel. Not trusting them I asked specifically for an email confirmation. Was told they would send one 'in the next few minutes'. No email, subscription still not cancelled.
Anyone else had this issue with The Times? Their 'special offer' 3 month subscription is a complete con. It will cost you the full £30 (in the small print apparently). I'm not alone in my disappointment at what I thought was a trustworthy org @thetimes.com uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.t...

Update. I phoned the number to cancel the subscription and after the hard sell was pushed on me I was told that they would cancel. Not trusting them I asked specifically for an email confirmation. Was told they would send one 'in the next few minutes'. No email, subscription still not cancelled.

I'm all for this. A good work/life balance should not be purely the reserve of the wealthy. No-one should miss out on spending time with loved ones or doing things they enjoy just to pay the bills. Life is for living!
