I need to start posting where I see AI slop. I kept seeing it all the time. I was making mental notes, but when I was buying gift cards at Christmas, I noticed Canadian Tire was using genAI on their "vintage" gift cards. And so I didn't get those. Crappy Tire living up to its name.

Commercials should be required to show the artist and song title if theyre using a non-stock/jingle. Theres this one commercial and I fucking hate the song but I refuse to use shazam because itll poison my spotify algorithm. Yeah, I can tell it to exclude from my taste profile, but I dont trust it.

He died the year my grandfather was born (1916) and they were still using the Julian calendar. It always blows my mind when people have really young grqndparents bc my great grandparents were born in the 1800s (im in my 30s) and I come from a long line of ppl having kids late in life.

In case anyone was curious about Sulphur Tongue's design influences and that shitty dye job. I really struggled with his character design until I saw the Wrestler and I was like "OH THATS HIM". I still don't think I made his face look busted enough (but there's still time for that).

As if artists don't have enough to deal with, Amazon has a "Buy For Me" program in beta which is scraping indie shops for their items and putting them up on Amazon (often incorrectly), for their "AI agent" to buy from the other site. It is NOT opt in, and there is no opt out.
I just found out that our stuff is being sold on Amazon - WITHOUT our consent or any ability to opt out bc Amazon is just scraping artist’s websites and putting our shit in their search results. Again, without our permission.

Man these fucking tech companies cant design a good UI to save their lives. Spotify's web interface doesn't show the artist name any more when playing? Instead you have to scroll down on the right side to see it, but only after closing the ad for their desktop app.
