Hot take but “5c commander featuring [new or featured subtype in set]” has felt like a pretty creatively bankrupt design the last three times they’ve done it and I’m not optimistic when I see it in a card file.
I want to build Infinite Guideline, but 5 color goodstuff is so booooring. Give me something interesting to do with the ship full of robots? 🤔🤖

This #MTGEternities commander card has some pretty poor templating to its reminder text. IMO it should at least be “a player commits a crime” and ideally would be “a player commits a crime if they target any of their opponents, anything their opponents control…”

This card from #MTGEternities is so wild to me, because it basically is a thumbs up or thumbs down check on if Spacecraft are good in the format.
Although if the literal space opera set isn’t battlecruiser magic we might be absolutely cooked as a society.

I feel like some of the reductive takes here have waaaay more legs to stand on than others. Like, if someone said OG Kamigawa was just a Japanese folklore rip I’d mostly agree but feel like what about all the super weird Spirit designs? Those were extremely unique and new.

Found a potentially really weird rules interaction in #mtgdft. It might be possible to use two exhausted exhausts with Elvish Refueler as long as one of them is a mana ability.
Why? Well it has to do with the process for how abilities are activated.
