The only time Article 5 of the NATO Treaty was invoked was to defend us, not for us to defend Europe. European soldiers and civilians died fighting with us and working next to us in Afghanistan. Europe was not attacked on September 11, 2001.

What vital interests of Americans are served by ICE's thuggish acts? ICE without warrants is violently restraining people, including at least 170 US citizens, subjecting them to detention or worse. That threatens my vital interests because they could do it to me www.propublica.org/article/immi...
More Than 170 U.S. Citizens Have Been Held by Immigration Agents. They’ve Been Kicked, Dragged and Detained for Days.
The government does not track how often immigration agents grab citizens. So ProPublica did. Our tally — almost certainly incomplete — includes people who were held for days without a lawyer. And near...

Federal agents reporting to Secretary Noem have spent weeks snatching up families, scaring law-abiding residents, violating due process rights, and even detaining U.S. citizens.

They fail to focus on violent criminals and instead create panic in our communities.

It was great how the country and the world generally stood with the 9/11 victims in NYC DC (Arlington VA) and PA (Shanksville). I was away in a foreign city that day, and they held a day of mourning a couple days later in the town square, and were very supportive of Americans stuck there

Hey @nytimes.com and @cnn.com you helped 47 get elected back in 2016 what are you doing now to save us from becoming a fascist state?

NYTimes you were SO proud of breaking the Hillary email server story, and you pounded it, and Americans voted for a grifter over a great candidate.

Germans teach their kids not to be Nazis, not to repeat the awful moments of their past. We could use some of that thinking in America
Oh, no biggie, just the President of the United States having a chuckle over D Day, suggesting that it was not a good day for Germany.

Merz corrected him— actually, no, D-Day marks the LIBERATION of Germany from Nazi dictatorship. A good day.

Sir, for the love of goddesses, READ A HISTORY BOOK.

TRUMP: That was not a pleasant day for you? This is not a great day

MERZ: This was the liberation of my country from Nazi dictatorship

Got an email from a no-reply at "microsoft.com" that looks like a scam. "Confirm that your service has been renewed" sent to an email I do not often use, for a service not on my MS account. # to call is 815 446 1278 and I did not call. Fyi.

Is there a way to advise @microsoft.com ?

The new Pope didn't tweet once in 2024. In 2025, he's posted 5 times, in which he:

- Criticized JD Vance's views on Catholicism and Jesus
- Posted an article opposing Trump's immigration policies
- Retweeted twice about the Pope's health
- Retweeted a criticism of Trump & Bukele's laughter at KAG.
