Many animals are inherently moral. Altruism has been seen among rats, primates, crows. Animals often share, respect privacy, protect the weak. They offer consolation to others in distress. Chimps, monkeys, dogs, & rats have an inherent sense of equity and fairness.

ICE agents are not animals.

It will if the shooter is a cop. Or in a "Stand Your Ground" state. Or politically connected. Or the prosecutor is just too busy. Or he can afford an expensive lawyer. Or... or... or...

We've seen it before, over and over.

What the actual fuck?

So now in this is a country for reasons of safety, cities have to close schools to protect citizens from the fucking federal government.

America is burning.

I agree. And I posit that entertainment has enabled what you describe. Shows like Dexter and other pro-violence narratives glorify violence, and undereducated consumers can't decode and compartmentalize. Our kids see thousands of violent acts before they exit elementary school. We choose this life.

Society imposes constraints that keep evil in check. It’s one of society’s most basic functions. When constraints are lifted, the evil emerges - and society no longer functions, ceases to exist.

We are there now.

America has been full of them for a long time, & Trump plus conservatives made it okay to be sociopathic & dangerous to others. It's been pretty "cool" in America to give off that vibe for years. I'm a retired teacher who'll never forget how Kliebold & Harris loved violence & guns. Now it's worse.

Now, they say it is about starting oil deliveries to the U.S.

A woman is dead in Minneapolis after ICE agents opened fire.
I don’t need to be a use-of-force expert to say this plainly: she did not need to be shot.
And no fair investigation is coming from the same system that wanted this confrontation in the first place.

When we wrongly say Trump promised deportations of every single undocumented person, and a plan to denaturalize people en masse and cancel all asylum routes, we make it look like he's keeping a promise that got him elected and thereby help him brutalize America. His 2024 campaign was—in fact—a scam.

So yes, many Americans voted for mass deportations, doing so at a time when a clear majority of Americans wanted people with violent criminal records who are undocumented deported.

But that's *not* what is happening now and that is not what is causing America to become a repressive detention state.

Even if I spot you the first shot (I shouldn’t, but let’s go with that), shots 2 and 3 were inexcusable and this officer will lose his case if it ever goes to court.
