Democratic Party turboloyalists are often some of the most toxic people I've ever encountered. Whereas the Right are generally honest about all the vile things they think and believe, this group of centrists adds the additional insult of pretending to have some sort of morality and knowledge. I still remember 9/11 like it was yesterday, and it blows my mind that there's a whole generation of Americans, adult Americans, who didn't even exist when the attacks happened. I grew up and came of age during the war on terror, it was definitely a different time than today.

I have a lot of trauma from childhood that frankly, I don't think I'll ever get over. I'm 30 now (I'll be 31 next month) and a lot of this stuff happened to me over 20 years ago, yet I still think about all of it every day and am still scarred by it.

Unlike a lot of people, I am in no way nostalgic for the early 2000s. My childhood fucking sucked. I miss BEING a kid, but I don't miss the years I was one, if that makes sense.

Being autistic in an ableist society is really hard. People who aren't on the spectrum will never understand. Our brains are literally wired differently, yet we're expected to behave and act in a way that conforms to "normal" standards. When your brain isn't wired for that, that's hard.
