Holiday greetings: How many ways can we wish each other well this season of peace and joy? I still say Merry Christmas & in the spirit of giving presents, my gift to everyone is a free copy of my short story, The Gift. Enjoy!
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Winter Solstice
For years now we’ve all been trying real hard to be politically correct in our Winter Solstice greetings, saying Happy Holidays, lest we offend someone who doesn’t celebrate Christmas, but I’ve always been a bit of a rebel. Besides that, I’m not the least bit offended when I hear Happy Hanukkah or Happy Kwanzaa. Those wishes mean something special to the folks who celebrate those holidays, the same way Merry Christmas means something special to me, and it doesn’t take anything away from me for people to express their good wishes the way they want to.
