I do think that Musk putting his thumb on the scale this hard for Grok is actually good for making some people realize that an AI is easily manipulated by it’s creators and a reflection of the sources it’s trained on. Unfortunately, there’s others who are going to think it’s a source of truth.

Sarah Stillman investigates a widespread crisis of deaths by starvation in America’s county jails. Most of the victims she identified had been arrested in the midst of a mental-health crisis, often on petty charges tied to their psychiatric distress.

Oh wow they found a MingKwai! So cool
A Facebook post unearthed a legend: the lost MingKwai typewriter, designed by Lin Yutang in 1947, resurfaced in a NY basement. Is she trying to send us a message?

American citizens should not have to enter into a contract with a private company (that’s an X account signup!) to receive government communications
The NTSB says it will no longer email news outlets or reporters with notifications of upcoming press conferences, including those on plane crashes in Washington and Philadelphia.

Instead, all notifications will be made on X.

We're filing a FOIA to find out more about the change in policy.
