Unexpectedly funny movies on the airplane, #1: The Fall Guy

This was perfect for a "captive audience on the plane" viewing. Don't know if it would work so well at home, but the gung ho action and hilarity had me grinning and laughing throughout despite my intention to sleep through it

More detail all today's incident in St Paul. Stay strong and keep up the good work, my old friends and family there!
I was at the protest today: SPPD was on site when I got there, but their numbers continued to swell. The crowd was loud af but not at all violent- nor were they impeding agents "doing their jobs" or residents. SPPD was in good spirits- many were smiling and laughing. The protesters were told to +

Stay strong, friends and family in my old home town. Keep up the good organizing and willpower force change for the better. I know you have it in you.
Photos from St. Paul today captured by MPR photojournalist Kerem Yücel. He filed them even after being hospitalized after being injured by a less lethal munition.

This is the funniest piece imaginable in the dull world of the otherwise sickly sycophantic tech review.

For real. Read it, even if you don’t give a rat’s ass about printers.

What perfect album came out the year you turned 16?

I want to say Tender Prey (Nick Cave), but honestly Leonard Cohen's "I'm Your Man" is superior.

Neither of which I actually heard until my 20s, so I'll add Ministry which a cooler friend of mine introduced me to around this time.

Surprisingly Good #Horror flicks I have watched on airplanes:

#3: The Mist (several years ago)
#4: Salem's Lot (okay I admit this one was mediocre but still fun and it fits the theme)

I guess anything Stephen King just gets a pass and added to flight catalog?

Surprisingly Good #Horror flicks I have watched on airplanes:

#2: Dr. Sleep
Holy cow. Surprisingly kickass, How come I never saw this when it came out?

What a cool collection of bad guys & good guys doing their thing. Rose The Hat (Rachel Ferguson) in particular was pretty fucking awesome

Surprisingly Good #Horror flicks I have watched on airplanes:

#1 The First Omen
How did they let me watch this on a plane? Also surprisingly solid modern-made prequel to the Omen series

I went to a prop making workshop, painted a bust of #cthulhu. I learned so many skills that will be useful in my mini and terrain painting where I was struggling! Proper use of Washes, dry-brush etc. So useful in person rather than watching vids.

Dreams of imaginary scientific things

Part 2: An early Google Research project, that coordinated a huge array of small telescopes to refine an accurate picture of galaxies. Somehow linked to early Mapreduce research etc.

I was so convinced this was real, I woke up and searched for it. No luck.

Dreams of imaginary scientific things

Part 1: I was reading a chart about cat health, 1 of the factors was "Bale" or "Baldacity", which was a gender neutral term for energy and activity.

(This dream probably driven by stress about my cat who is recovering from very tough surgery)

My most popular and well-reviewed book is $2.99 in ebook form for October, just search your device for 'This Book is Full of Spiders.' You do not have to have read any of my previous books to enjoy it (even though it is the second book in a series, these all stand alone).

Dream: dumpster diving with nephew and uncle. Debating what is worth salvaging

Metallic square platform on casters/wheels, highly specialized for [obscure workshop]? We can find a use for it

Giant blue trashbag filled with unopened Nintendo consoles and controllers.

What does it mean???

Dream: After many years I met up with an ex-gf who meant a lot to me

I could see she had a pacemaker, visible through her skin, a very cool lifesaving device

Even though i haven't worked for Medtronic for many years, I was slightly offended that her pacemaker was from a competitor!

Dream brain: let's burn dream cycles writing a talk for an imaginary conference on a topic I know nothing about!

Rather than writing one of my two real life conference talks that I have not yet started. Yay
