My most Boomer opinion is that this is genuinely a tragic way to experience live music. You cannot surrender to music if you are videoing it.

1. This is not what fog of war means.
2. There is no war
3. He's trying to distance himself from murders he had direct responsibility over
4. All I can think of when I hear this phrase now is Elon Musk complaining that he hates chess because it has no fog of war.
Q: So you didn't see any survivors after that first strike?

HEGSETH: I did not personally see survivors. The thing was on fire. This is called the fog of war. This is what you in the press don't understand. You sit in your air conditioned offices and plant fake stories in the Washington Post

Three out of five men in this shot have been accused of sexual misconduct, harassment or abusive behaviour towards women. A fourth signed into law a near-total abortion ban in his state as governor.

Sorry, but who on earth signed off on this description:

"Exclusive data findings show 50 seats the Greens can win on current polling"

When many of the 50 seats that they would currently 'Win' have them coming 2nd or 3rd!!!

How? We may desire it (I do) but making this statement is easy.

Why would the EU want us after we left?

On what terms could we rejoin (that we could convince the UK to agree to, let alone EU)?

And.. why would they want to do all that if there are parties who might win, just want to leave again?

This person who openly advocates war crimes, who lobbied for pardons for war criminals, and repeatedly disdains the laws and ethics of war, the one we confirmed as Secretary of Defense, turns out to have done war crimes. Shocking!

(But hey, if they're finally coming around, better late than never.)

Last week was seismic.

The decisions Labour took will lift 450,000 children out of poverty, driving the largest reduction in child poverty in a single parliament.

Such a smart move by Republicans to attack Mark Kelly, thereby giving him a platform to be his articulate and patriotic self
Sen. Kelly: “This is about a president who doesn't want anybody to say anything that he does not like. I don't think he understands the Constitution. I think he is ignorant to the Constitution and the rule of law…This isn't about me. This is about what he will do next.”

He also took aim at those who want the UK to quit the ECHR and/or Nato (hello N Farage and Z Polanski)

Excellent. Glad he's said these things. We not leaving NATO or the ECHR and brexit has caused ridiculous problems for this country.

Growing up with a sister who has a learning disability, I’ve seen people shout the R word at her. That was in the 80s and 90s. Now we’re in the 2020s and I am seeing world leaders and tech leaders use it and I cannot begin to tell you how devastating that is.

Government can do two things immediately.

1) Get off X

2) Focus attention on calling out double standards and bias in the media. It is about getting fair coverage, not shutting down criticism. Johnson was never accused of lying by BBC, yet Reeves is?

Then Leveson Part 2 in the medium term.
If I were Rachel Reeves I would simply ask Laura K and Nick Robinson why they were repeating right wing talking points found on X as a basis for their questions. Stop being defensive.

But overall, "lanyard class" is *such* a stupid phrase. Hospital porters wear them. Secondary school teachers generally do. Peers of the realm, including Glassman, are meant to wear them around parliament and most are polite enough to do so.

It’s not easy for Canada to completely restructure its economic system away from a partnership with the United States, a partnership Canada knows… that EVERY nation now knows… can’t be trusted. But it’s the right thing to do. And we’ll be stronger for it.

Will the United States? I doubt it.
Prime Minister Mark Carney's government announces that Canada is realigning Canada's economy away from the United States.
