UK political debate is disastrous. It's possible to vote for a party with a racist policy without being a racist. Politicians know how to manipulate and instrumentalise genuine fears & worries & we expect them to. I'd much prefer it if the BBC (Robinson, Mason, Kuenssberg) didn't do the same.

Context: US President not knowing/caring about the difference between the police & army. A retired Brigadier General (IDF) openly lauding Yalta as something to be emulated.
1st year BA IR students should be able to pick holes in these stances.
