And Los Angeles metro is three Chicagolands!

How does this compare to Florida?

And, even though there will always be some curtailment, at this point I would expect a leveling off as BESS is pared with solar installations going forward. It's truly a self-reinforcing virtuous cycle until the cost premiums for traditional "peak" hours start diminishing.

100% You can get an idea of what the battery potential (no pun intended) in CA is by looking at the curtailment numbers. These numbers can get huge in the summer. Someday batteries will dominate baseload, and overnight rates will be higher than daytime rates. www.gridstatus.io/live/caiso

There was no need to bail out equity in 2008, and there’s no need to do it now. That was the mistake the Fed made in the GFC, and the expectation remains: take huge risks with big short term gains, pay myself a huge bonus, and the Fed bails us out when it inevitably crashes.

Let’s hope they see the light.

You left out one of the most important connections. bsky.app/profile/notl...
Does anyone know what these transaction reports in the files are about? Because David Ellison is all over them.

Also it’s just like Wolff to stoke their anxiety to try and shake stuff out.

But could I interest you in some gum?

Talk about how media works in 2026. Yesterday, People was the *only* outlet to write about the week-old update that these foods could kill you. Today, it's everywhere in every outlet. People can't be our nation's leading journalism outlet (sorry People)
There's a massive food recall (including Cheerios, how I found out) yet the only news article I can find about it is on People dot com. What is going on?

Well done, man.

I took one called “persistence in the bureaucratic maze: the art of graduation”. I barely passed.

There’s a “fire chief/engineer” guy on youtube that keeps talking about how LFP batteries are super dangerous. They’re nothing if not persistent.

Saw a bunch of headlines about Tether buying a bunch of gold. This might turn out to be *exactly* like crypto.

I know it’s not that important, but “Row back” is amazing.

It would be quite a wag-the-dog moment if we find out that the metals surge is being driven by crypto firms looking for any “real” asset. What happens to them when gold comes back to earth?
