I would like to submit a request that there be no more trade deal press conferences until a trade deal is actually done. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Maybe. But for many, the cost of rebuilding elsewhere (in time, attention, and uncertain payoff,) is higher than the declining marginal value of staying. Not sunk cost fallacy; just different (and perhaps rational) cost-benefit analysis.

Linda Yaccarino leaving X is a reminder that no matter how much corporate-speak you wrap around it, jumping on a burning platform still gets you burned.

Zohran got more first-round votes than Cuomo got total votes.
That’s not a stat. That’s a vibe shift.

We’re reshaping institutions around a man who’s 79, indicted, and visibly aging. It’s not just defeatism it’s terrible risk management.
It's mostly insane because we're talking about a guy who is 79 years old, and might have failing health. Forgot his popularity, Trump himself might not even last four years.

Will the BBB transform America? Maybe. But if history is a guide, it’ll mostly transform your taxes into subsidies for someone’s cousin with a degree in sustainable parking policy.

Bob Vylan loses their U.S. visas over a chant at Glastonbury. Apparently “death to the IDF” now triggers immigration policy faster than a criminal record. The First Amendment stops at Customs, folks.

So now Trump’s threatening to yank all federal subsidies from Musk: federal contracts, EV credits, maybe even lunch at Mar-a-Lago, because he dared point out the bill blows a $5 trillion hole in the debt.

One wonders if he’ll also revoke SpaceX’s parking permit at the KSC. 🤔

Thrilled to learn we’re solving immigration by pouring billions into detaining the labor force we desperately need. Next up: subsidizing droughts to deal with water overuse.

Imagine the confidence of a man who believes throwing more money at ICE will finally make federal programs efficient.
Border Czar Tom Homan says that once Congress passes Trump's budget bill, he'll have more money than ever to carry out arrests and deportations: "You think we're arresting people now? You wait 'til we get the funding to do what we gotta do."

Look, I don’t know why Tom Homan is separated from his wife. But assuming it’s because he’s “a fucking asshole” ignores the complex dynamics of modern marriage, national security, and the declining cost of divorce.

Sure, war is bad. But so is stagnation. And honestly? A little geopolitical instability might finally get millennials to buy houses, just not in America.

Mamdani just beat Cuomo in a debate and I’m sorry but I still want someone who can fix potholes, not write a 900-page treatise on memory and erasure.

Of course Twitter isn’t “the world.” But unlike curated safe havens, it at least offers a messy cross-section of it. If you’d prefer a filtered reality, that’s your choice, just don’t mistake it for virtue.

That’s very kind. I’ll take “funniest thing I’ve ever written” as a win, even if it came bundled with the usual accusations of bad faith. Always flattering when disagreement feels so threatening it must be insincere.
That is the funniest thing you've ever written because it's hard to imagine a more disingenuous and bath faith writer than you! I don't think even you believe what you write.

Glad to hear Derek the menswear guy is taking steps to regularize his status. Obviously no one wants increased enforcement, but if it nudges people toward legal channels, isn’t that… at least partially a good thing?
