I lived life as an autistic person for 41 years, and frankly it's wild to see someone who views your existence as a blight elevated to a position of such consequence. I generally see no reason to discuss being on the spectrum publicly, but I'll make an exception for this vile eugenicist. 1/x
Breaking News: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said he personally instructed the CDC to abandon its position that vaccines do not cause autism. The move underscores his determination to challenge scientific orthodoxy — in this case, that vaccines save lives — and bend the health department to his will.

This week, I’m hosting The Daily Show Tuesday through Thursday.

It’s my first time hosting anything on TV. Ever.

I’ve spent years writing behind the scenes, learning from truly great and talented people. Now, for three nights, I get to sit at the desk and do it myself.

When we talk about cutting funding to the NIH, we are talking about studies such as this. Mortality rate for Ebola is 80-90%. Relying on the private sector to find treatments is naive. We need public institutions that exist for the good of all, not just to enrich themselves.

Joy Reid is right. You can't compare people, but if anyone were our time's James Baldwin, it would be Ta-Nehisi Coates. His moral clarity is stunning, and his ability to grow and own up to where he was wrong in the past is what we should all be striving towards. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ojxr...

I am worried about:
- the future of vaccines
- the unchecked spread of bird flu
- the suppression of public health voices
- the rolling back HIV care access
- the assault on science and researchers
Today more than ever, I am worried about these things and the threat to our collective health.

This is just incredibly sad. A reminder that flu can be severe in even the healthiest. It took a whole team effort to get my 7 year old nephew (with needle phobia) his flu shot. Me hyping via video call, parents on hand hyping in person. He got his shot +a lollipop. We were all proud and grateful.
