All gods were made up. Serapis Christus was an amalgam of several gods from Egyptian and Greek mythology originating ~323 BC that was popular throughout the Mediterranean, even Rome. Associated with healing and the afterlife, often depicted holding a snake, this god was indeed conflated with Jesus.
