i think a lot of this criticism has been unfairly framed as “people online repeating memes”. when we say “kamala is a cop” it’s not just some throwaway line but shorthand for a wider abolitionist perspective. it’s recognition of the fact that her “solutions” are largely carceral & punitive in nature
