There are 1,267 confirmed cases of #measles in the US.
That's 8 shy of the total in 2019, which had the highest number of cases since the disease was eliminated in 2000.
There were 285 cases in 2024. That's a 345%, of 4.45-fold increase this year. And we're only halfway through.

The measles outbreak in TX is a perfect example of the harm that occurs when parents choose not to vaccinate. When considering potential risks from vaccines we must also consider risks of infection. 1 in 20 children with measles get pneumonia, 1 in 1000 get brain swelling, 1 to 3 in 1000 will die.
