LVT is land value tax. Simple explanation: property is taxed based on the value of the land, not the structure. Right now, a hotel or apartment building has to pay way more in taxes than an empty lot because of the value of the structure. LVT would disincentivize land speculation + parking lots

You get a certain amount of free stories a month - 6, I think? And then there are a couple reporters whose work is funded by grants that set free access of their work as a condition, so you can always read those reporters’ work for free!

Too dead on my feet to give a real assessment of tonight’s candidate forum, but one thing I did notice that might be of note to the BSKY politicos: three candidates brought reachable waterbottles. Zappone, Telis and Dixit - all Democrats. Dixit’s bottle had stickers, like a map of district 1
