It’s just a guess. A huge backlash to the movie was people complaining about her and saying she ruined it for them, and she hasn’t been in a movie since.

Specifically if you ever said a mean thing about Nita-Josee Hanna’s performance on the internet you’re my enemy. That 12 year old gave a Nicolas Cage level insanely hammed up comedic performance and I think the internet bullied her into giving up acting and we’re all the poorer for it.
