The very short-lived 1970s series "O.M.A.C., the One Man Army Corps" from @dc.com

Dystopia was never as weird, twisted, or unsettling to kids as under the creative mind and hand of the greatest comic creator ever, Jack "The King" Kirby.

The series scared me as a kid, but now, it fascinates me.

A reason why @sweetdotdev.bsky.social is dead set on trying not to make a subscription or if we do, make it equitable for creator owned. The appeal to readers is obvious, and to our business’s bottom line, but philosophically we don’t grow comics unless we make publishers and creators more money.
“Average musician makes $12 a month on Spotify. The fact that they are not even able to sell a record and it’s taken from them by rich motherfuckers on streaming platforms who get paid royally by record labels,Ticketmaster, merch companies. They’re all fucking getting paid, except for the musician.”

Watched the #Peacemaker Season 2 finale, and enjoyed the season.

It's really too bad there isn't going to be a 3rd season, since the plan seems to be too have the characters appear in future DC movies.

The one feature I'd love to see implemented on #Bluesky is the muting of reposts for a user. I want to follow some folks, but they repost *way* too much for my liking.

mute/ turn off reposts for specific users · Issue #1629 · bluesky-social/social-app
some people post/repost a lot and I would like to mute certain people I follow from seeing their reposted content to my feed but not everyones. currently the only option is turning off reposts from...

Oh, it’s #PortfolioDay.

I’m Eric Palicki, comics writer and editor. My work includes Black’s Myth (Ahoy), No Angel (Black Mask), Guardians of Infinity (Marvel), and more.

I co-edited the Ringo-nominated anthologies Dead Beats, All We Ever Wanted, and Maybe Someday.

I’m open for work.

Today, we've launched some great refinements to Bindings (bindings.app)! You can now re-order links in the tree of links action, we've significantly improved the zoom experience (double tap/click to zoom and in 2-up!), and we fixed a bug where you couldn't re-order if you ran out of pages/slices.

With Diamond announcing the end of the print version of Previews, I've had a few developers requesting to have the Final Order Cutoff (FOC) date added to the database, so they can use the API to generate the information needed to order their books.

Yesterday I read Astro City 47&48 for the first time.

Damn it if Busiek and Norton didn't make me weep.
Not tear up a little, I mean full out crying.

Only the second comic book in my 35 yrs of reading them to do that to me.

Wonderful comic.
Would recommend.
