People have such short memories. Less than 2 years ago, a bunch of rich people paid a ton of money to board the Oceangate 'Titan' submersible - and never returned. This week, a bunch of rich people paid a ton of money to board the Blue Origin 'New Shepard' rocket ship. Luckily they returned.

I now see why this was a disappointment. I just finished the book (which is more than Bryson can say for the A.T.). He had the nerve to call Henry D. Thoreau a poser, but Bryson accomplished far less wilderness living.
Occasionally funny, but overall I wasn’t impressed with this book.
