I have decided I will start each morning with a good, strong protest song that reminds me of what I need to know to keep going. Today, I need some FUEL.

This song is from Little Plastic Castle, which came out in 1998. This is a live version from 2011 with a bonus story. Song starts ~ 2:30.

Whomever is advising the Democrats right now is criminally bad at their job. The notion that they can meme their way out of fascism is truly incredible.

People are getting up off the mat.
People have gathered outside USAID HQ for press event with Democratic Congressmen Beyer, Raskin, Connolly and Olzewski and Senator Van Hollen where they're addressing the building's mysterious shutdown today in the midst of the Trump admin dismantling the agency.

It’s pretty wild to vividly remember the Clinton hearings and see all these sexual assaulters and sex traffickers handed Cabinet positions

A lot of people have shared this poem over the past week. It’s a sentiment I think about a lot, especially now.

I hope everyone is doing what they need to take care of themselves. One step at a time. One day at a time.

The subject of my nature journal during class today. I admit a student found it, but o was fascinated. I’m teaching them to notice and describe so not too many drawings yet, but boy are we having fun!
