I spent a long time last night feeling so discouraged with how the world is right now. It's such scary times
I can’t be the only one feeling sad and overwhelmed by an absolutely lengthy list of horrific news this weekend.

If you’re struggling, you’re not alone. It’s a lot to process.

It might be time for an early bedtime.

Great news from #CITESCOP20: Governments have agreed to ban commercial trade of Galápagos iguanas.

“Ecuador is deeply committed to protecting the natural heritage of the Galápagos,“ said WCS’s Sebastián Valdivieso, “and this decision reinforces that commitment.”

🦇 There are now 1,500 official bat species known to science.

The latest discovery is the Bioko pipistrelle (𝘗𝘪𝘱𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘶𝘴 𝘦𝘵𝘶𝘭𝘢), on Bioko Island in Africa’s Equatorial Guinea, found by Laura Torrent.

Etula means “island” and “god of the island” in the Bantu local language.
