2). Her sisters husbands and brothers fought in various theaters of the war. My father served in the merchant navy during the war. Hardly ever did they talk about the experience of the war.

1). Jenrick is making scared the memory of his grandmother for propaganda purposes. I am of the generation of his parents, my parents generation, like my mother and her many sisters worked in converted textile factories to manufacture shells for the war.

The wild thing is that McSweeney spent months and years explaining the plan was to fuck off the left, ignore the libs and build a crushing electoral bloc of Sensible Moderates and Reasonable Tories. And it was *instantly* clear the day after the election that this had not worked, nor would it ever.
