It’s not a bias. It’s a transaction. Tens of millions of Ukrainian lives and the remnants of American respectability in exchange for an increase in the private fortunes of a few people.

Trump and RFK Jr’s vision for mental health policy is to simply double down on yet more mass incarceration in place of support and addressing the root causes of distress: poverty, childhood abuse, homelessness, exploitation, and isolation.

Quick analysis of The Times today:
Wall to wall negative coverage of Labour’s budget. An editorial that tuts about lack of growth but takes no responsibility. And a double page ad to join Farage/Reform.
Absolutely no analysis on how rightwing ideology - including Brexit - has been utterly ruinous.

Budget 2025.

The wealthy hardly hit.

Minor tweaks on dividend and mansion tax.
No wealth tax.
No alignment of taxes on dividends & capital gains tax with taxation of wages.
Partnerships won't pay NIC on partners' share of profits
No financial transactions tax.

Lobbying and political donations pay

How are all those Labour politicians cheering for it?

They were literally whipped to vote for it and then the Prime Minister suspended those who didn't.

They really are totally devoid of any moral principle.

They respond to one thing - and that's political pressure.

Budget 2025

One lesso: organise, inform, campaign, protest.

UK Govt wasted 18 months, condemned millions of children to poverty. Today govt announced end of the two child benefit cap.

7 MPs had Labour whip withdrawn for opposing the cap. For 18 months Ministers defended the stupid policy.
