On my way to the Supreme Court where I'll be proud to support 15-year-old Becky Pepper-Jackson, West Virginia's only transgender athlete, as she opposes the state's effort to ban her from playing as herself.

Win or lose, Becky and her family are heroes for standing up for what's right

Coal power falls in India and China

Coal-fired power generation fell in both China and India in 2025 as clean energy grew fast enough in both countries to meet rising electricity demand.

Coal power falls in China and India for first time in decades
The shift, driven by record installations and softer demand growth, could mark a turning point for the world’s two biggest coal users

NEW: A new lawsuit vs OpenAI alleges that ChatGPT caused the death by suicide of Austin Gordon, an adult user who took his life after extensive chats in which ChatGPT romanticized death + normalized suicidality.

ChatGPT acted as a potent "suicide coach," per the suit.

Love the sentiment and saw this reporting elsewhere - but I can't quite understand how Austria (famously not a NATO member) has snagged a top role in a bureaucracy running an alliance of which they're not a member.

For balance, as I do spend a lot of time poo-pooing suggestions that this or that thing is meant as a Nazi allusion, I should point out here that I absolutely believe that this logo is meant as a Nazi allusion, it’s an open and shut case.
Ukip have submitted a new logo and slogan to the Electoral Commission, swapping the £ pound sterling symbol for a cross, that looks very much like it is modelled on the Iron Cross used by Prussia & Germany 1871-1918 and Hitler's Nazi regime from 1933-45

A video of ICE agents conducting door-to-door searches today in Minneapolis

The homeowner requests a warrant repeatedly, is told they don't require one, then is told they're getting it, then the agents storm in anyway

They also point a taser at her to try and disrupt filming
