Yet we have it "easy" because we get government assistance and some of us don't work!
It’s the 33rd anniversary of the ADA:

Disabled people don’t have marriage equality.
Disabled people can be paid sub-minimum wage.
Disabled people are approx 50% of victims of police brutality & abuse.
Disabled people are murdered daily by family & governments with the framing it’s for our own good.

Got told that I’m so in touch with my body recently and it’s been making me realize just how much extra work disabled people have to do to stay alive. Initially this felt like a compliment but it is really just privilege that abled people don’t have to think about their bodies

PSA: if you ask someone their rates as a sensitivity reader — especially a disabled person about topics of disability — and you don’t like their answer, there are many, many better responses than variations on “you’re charging too much.” Just… don’t.
