Library of Congress staff just showed what resistance looks like. After Trump abruptly fired Dr. Carla Hayden, the respected Librarian of Congress, he tried to install Todd Blanche, his former personal lawyer and current Deputy Attorney General, as acting librarian. Staff weren’t having it.

“I asked chatGPT-“ ok, and I asked Tinsel, and she said you’re an uninspired, vapid dork who needs a computer to think for them.

The Trump administration fired Librarian of Congress Dr. Carla D. Hayden as part of their sweeping book ban efforts. One of the titles removed? Freckleface Strawberry, a children’s book about self-acceptance. Seriously, who gets offended by that?

How come sometimes a well written close friendship between a man and a woman hits harder than romance of ANY kind.

I don't want to @ this person but he's mad the Chicago Public Library is restricting access for people who don't pay taxes in Chicago. Not sure why he's complaining when he could lobby the rich suburb he lives in to pay for similar services? Because that's how municipal services work?
True Life: I'm being rage baited by a shitty op-ed and I'm about to make it everyone's problem

my endorsement for any democratic presidential candidate who promises to send the entire DOGE team to prison
This is insane and everyone involved needs to be sued into oblivion and then go directly to jail

Not all echoes are meant to return. The lights flicker not from power loss, but memory. When the clock chimes out of rhythm and the sky hums a little too low, you’ll understand what wasn’t written. Some birds don’t migrate—they vanish.

Men are so goofy. Now there’s a trend of men taking Pilates and calling it “BROlates” to show that men too can do Pilates.

Masculinity is so fragile that they’re renaming a form of exercise literally named for its creator, Joseph Pilates, a man.

A former French military base, Vauban is a thriving neighbourhood of 5,500 residents connected to Freiburg town centre by bus and light rail. Built in the late 1990s as a radical experiment in low-car living, it forgoes virtually all on-street parking in favour of active, green, and social spaces. 🧵
