Would Andy Burnham win a by-election?

We don't know for sure but one thing we do know is he is VERY popular in the north-west. More so than Starmer, Labour and Nigel Farage.

If anyone has a personal brand up there - it is him.

The calls from America this weekend to "abolish the EU" are for one simple reason: the EU is the only thing that can keep European nation-states from becoming Russian or American vassals.
The US has declared rhetorical war on the EU
The calls from America this weekend to destroy the EU are revealing. They hate the union because it's the only thing that can keep European countries from being Russian or American vassals.

This story more than any other disgusts me.

Yinka was a little 9 year old boy

Farage was a swaggering bully aged 17

We all knew those bullies at school and in this case teenager Farage was a racist bully too
Yinka Bankole was 12 when Farage spotted him in the playground:

“He towered over me. ‘Where are you from?’ he asked. Within seconds of offering my rather confused and sputtering answers, he had a clear response: ‘That’s the way back to Africa,’.”

Exclusive: Yinka Bankole says he felt compelled to speak out after Reform leader’s attempts to ‘dismiss’ hurt of alleged targets

Perhaps the BBC and every other reputable broadcaster should instead be boycotting Mr Farage

Despite some awfully dull cricket thrown at you your #bbccricket commentary has been wonderfully entertaining. Thank you. Winter well !!

What country would be crazy enough to have an election system that gives extremist parties 100% of the power with just 31% of the vote?

This is what we’ll be telling parties to fix NOW if they want our votes in 2029.

PR has popular support, and no cost to implement.

Labour could do it right now.

@martycricket.bsky.social just queried the cooking of Fray Bentos tinned pies. Martin actually questioned whether this type of pie required the removal of the lid prior to cooking or not. If you have one at home now having one for the first time I would strongly advise removing the lid !!!
