I don't understand why using tax dollars to send weapons overseas is ok, but letting a poor child use tax dollars to buy cookies isn't.

My daughter Eva, 17, and her mother @millennialhippie.bsky.social get on the shuttle bus to head to the hospital for Eva's first day of chemo for stage 3 Hodgkins Lymphoma in 15 minutes. I have to join them later.
Prognosis is good. Treatment is rough, but thankfully not stage 4 treatment.

No offense to my non-Southern friends, but there’s something especially powerful about hearing someone who sounds like me and understands my culture speaking this way. A guy like this has a chance of getting through to people who would never listen to an outsider.
