Wealthy nations will mostly behave as wealthy individuals, no happy surprise there
Global hunger crisis deepens as major nations skimp on aid
It’s a simple but brutal equation: The number of people going hungry or otherwise struggling around the world is rising, while the amount of money the world’s wealthiest nations are contributing toward helping them is dropping.

#ICYMI: ProPublica identified 17 people who each shielded at least $1 billion in capital gains from the so-called Net Investment Income Tax. Together, this small group, by collectively exempting more than $35 billion, saved about $1.3 billion in taxes.
How Billionaires Sidestepped a Tax Aimed at the Rich
Wall Street financiers were a clear target of the tax, but some, on questionable legal grounds, have claimed their outsized profits were exempt, sometimes avoiding hundreds of millions in taxes.

Until abortion is legal in every state, lets require men to get a mandatory vasectomy until they are proven emotionally mature, financially responsible and ready to be a father.
Wait, what do you mean regulations on men's bodies make you uncomfortable?

Denver gave people experiencing homelessness $1k/month. A year later, nearly half had housing.

They also had fewer ER visits, nights spent in a hospital, and jail stays.

The report estimates that this reduction in public service use SAVED the city $589k.

Great approach to better live through the next US government.

Let's concentrate on what they do, not what they say.

I know it is a quasi spent question, but.

What do you think is the common thread between Trump reelection and the rise of the right in Europe?

Personally I think that is mostly a loss of the left due to its inability to understand that people are suffering (still privileged) and simply address it.

The StoryGraph is a black women-owned competitor to GoodReads with better UI in my opinion.
When you sign up you can even transfer your data from Goodreads to StoryGraph!
