Interesting to hear @1812andallthat.bsky.social present on disabled veteran Shadrack Byfield & the War of 1812 for @nationalarmymuseum.bsky.social this afternoon! Byfield had his arm amputated & later had an attachment made so that he could return to weaving (which obvs interested me lots) #DisHist
