And normally I'd just say live and let live but a huge contingent of this is arguing about, like, human rights and the future of American democracy, it's important issues. It's not the early 2010s anymore. Social media just isn't as playful and innocent as it used to be. Maybe I'm not either.

What I'm saying is, the US is not the only country and is not God's gift to humanity. The world will not end without our ongoing hegemony, and the current constitutional framework is not immortal. People transcend flags, and a better future for the people of the US need not *be* the US.

And you need to acknowledge that when you justify its continued existence you're justifying a truly evil racial-economic stratification and the ongoing brutal exploitation of the global south without a clear plan to end either of those things. Costs pile up fast and are measured in human blood.
