It’s hogwash of course… you can’t catch being trans… but they think eliminating it will stop people from coming out.

Whenever some dude complains about tampons in men's restrooms, what it really comes down to is that he just doesn't respect women. He feels emasculated by tampons because for him, there's nothing more insulting than to be equated with women. Misogyny is the internal structure of transphobia.
