There is a growing memorial in front of the Minnesota State Capitol for Minnesota House Democratic leader Melissa Hortman and her husband, who were fatally shot in their Brooklyn Park home yesterday.

Flowers, a portrait and a gavel were left at Hortman's desk in the House chambers.
