The Sequel and The Plot, by Jean Hanff Korelitz. I loved this pair of books. Anna/Dianna/Rose -- what an anti-hero(ine)! I was sorry to see Sequel end, but I raced through it because I just had to keep turning the pages. I love Korelitz's clever trick with Sequel's chapter titles, too.

Not thousands.
Not a few million.
Over 13 million.

Keep going.

Hi, it’s Meg again. Brad is still in ICE custody.

We are grateful to the many friends, supporters, and allies who have gathered in Federal Plaza.

Together we are standing up for those with no voice.

Hi, this is Meg Barnette, Brad's wife.

While escorting a defendant out of immigration court at 26 Federal Plaza, Brad was taken by masked agents and detained by ICE.

This is still developing, and our team is monitoring the situation closely.

The turnout in small towns across the country has been incredible drawing crowds of thousands. We’re already seeing over one million in attendance nationwide, and events are still underway. Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Ohio all had especially surprising showings.

I gobbled Strout's "Tell Me Everything" way too fast; but it's so easy to just keep going, and then -- poof! -- it's over. Meeting those familiar characters again in their later years was so interesting, and I worried most of the way through about the fate of Matt Beach. Old friends.

I went to Grasse in late March. What a beautiful place! For fun and my edification, I went to a perfume workshop. It lasted 2 hours. I had a perfume organ: 1 row each of essences for top, middle and base notes; created a scent. Dying to do this again! Locally if possible.

I am looking for the way to have my posts appear in perfume feeds. I can do it for some book feeds, so trying the same method. I'll post about my visit to Grasse -- it was all I'd hoped for and more, although I went in the wrong season (too early for blooms and scent in the air).

May we also become an orange-free state.

I just finished reading Donna Tartt's "Little Friend." A couple of years ago I read her "Secret History." She is at the top of my list for favorite authors. Those books are great. I have not read "Goldfinch" because saw movie.
