People keep saying what Mamdani did in NYC isn't replicable elsewhere because NYC is so different and I just keep wanting to remind everyone that in VERY recent history NYC had Republican mayors for TWENTY STRAIGHT YEARS.

I'm not the biggest fan of the Democratic Party these days (who could be?) but the utter and complete double standards between GOP and Dems on ethical accountability is insane.
