I legit stood in the middle of that protest and cried.

There is a protest every Sunday at this hour on that corner.

Usually it is about 25 people.

Today it was thousands and thousands, with almost every car on the street honking.

Shit is going to change.

None of this is a sign of strength and there is no plan. It's a tremendous show of weakness. Trump is creating chaos and flinging everything at the wall like a mad king. They're losing and they know it but like cornered animals that makes them more dangerous.

April 15 gonna be...intriguing.
Again I ask, why the fuck are we paying taxes to this facist government?

It has come to make the most sense to view the 2024 election as having very little to do with Trump.

Maybe—in addition to the sexism and racism—if was actually a referendum on the utter spinelessness of Democratic leadership.

People want to *believe* in something and these dudes…don’t.

I cannot find the post where someone points out the utter courage of every *single* video we see where a person stands their ground so fearlessly to film and confront the ICE gestapo for their crimes against humanity, but I need to second it.

Thank you.

You’re helping us all find our courage.

Bud the only lesson we learned is to prosecute every last one of you that breaks the law like this when your pedo-regime falls.
A woman recording an ICE agent tells him "Shame on you."

The agent responds, "Have you all not learned from the past couple of days?"

"Learned what?" she asks

Then he knocks her phone out of her hand

I've noticed that ICE agents keep yelling "18 USC § 111" at people filming them. I'd like to see the memo they all got on that talking point, and I'd like to know who sent it. Filming ICE or alerting your neighbors to their presence doesn't violate § 111.

BREAKING: Massive Crowds of Anti-ICE protesters in Minneapolis, Minnesota as we speak. The tide is turning. America is Fed Up.

Americans should be fighting back against what is happening in this country. Having masked, secret police shooting people, breaking into homes and cars, is NOT normal.

One thing I won’t let go of is my shock that they try this argument repeatedly, and that corporate media treats it as a perspective we need to consider.

Human goodness will win.
Our tiny Vermont town has about 100 people downtown protesting ICE right now.

To be clear this is like 10-15% of the town’s population in January standing around just to show some solidarity to blue cities who are going through the shit for us all.

Stay strong Minneapolis.

A Black man was killed by ICE (off duty) in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve. And like Renée Good, he was an American citizen. But most people have not heard about Keith Porter.

I need y’all to realize this. Black people experience this lack of visibility all the time when it comes to being victims.

One thing every serious writer is taught is to use simple words whenever possible.

The inability of media, beginning in 2015, to make the right choice and use the appropriate word "lies" when quoting the GOP is a great moral failure.

It's also extremely bad writing.
While I applaud the @theguardian.com in general and for headlines like this, particularly compared to our increasingly corporatized and toothless mass media, it continues to amaze me how hard it is for them to say "lies."

Yes. Experiencing art should be affordable!

And what's more, if he helps NYC once again become a place where artists can afford to live...UTOPIA
“When I speak about making our city more affordable, my vision is not limited to the homes that we live in or the child care that we’re making universal — it’s also a vision where we make it possible for working people to afford lives of joy, of art, of rest, of expression.”

Was just in my doctor’s office and watched corporate television media coverage of the ICE murder of Renee Good.

They couldn’t spin it. You know if they could they would, but they can’t.

It’s like everyone knows this was murder.

Whether they admitted or not, everyone knows ICE must end.

He really has zero respect for the intelligence of his own supporters.

That is how cults work, but shocking nonetheless.
