The day job is to work in DC with records and archives - but at night I follow the cats as everyone should follow the cats.
Oh, you misspelled that - it’s actually “whiskey.” Not enough WHISKEY ...
There is just not enough coffee…

Mourning the loss of Pres Carter. My favorite President who healed the country at a time of great stress due to Nixon, then went on to be the most productive former president, promoted peace and stability worldwide while boosting efforts to reduce poverty here at home. RIP, Mr. President.

Ah, give yourself some grace. One day of totally over-eating doesn’t ruin any plan for healthy living.
Me: Eats 42,000 calories. Has one short walk. Yep. That’ll sort it.

I was bested by my efforts to make a wholly vegan apple pie. Who has experience making good pie crust with vegan butter?

Watched "How to Be Single" (2016 flick) on #Netflix. Laughed so hard! How did I not see this before?

No additional info needed. Pic says it all.
That cat knew exactly how far it needed to sit. From a negative in my collection, no additional info.

My uncle just turned 100 years old! He said the key to longevity is to stay engaged, keep the conversations going, keep up with the hobbies, and just keep living!

I still find myself hesitant to engage as I’ve got PTSD (poster traumatic stress syndrome) from getting beaten up at the bad place.
I’m so glad the left finally has a safe place where we can organize and strategize and love each other because boy howdy do we need it.

I will repost to ‘boost the signal’ but must say this makes me feel a bit insignificant as I don’t bring much ‘spectator value’ to BlueSky since I’m not advertising where I work or what I do.
Others have noted it but I will too: The big reason Bluesky is so hot right now is that the people who add value to social media - the frequent posters in specific fields - are here now, talking to each other and creating the "spectator value" that draws users and attention.
Twitter’s heir apparent isn’t X or Threads — it’s Bluesky

Scene of the crime 61 yrs ago. The day we lost JFK. The Book Depository.

I gave Threads a solid try. But it was too random, couldn’t actually follow a ‘thread’ on discussions, and so many fake conversation starters. BlueSky immediately felt comfortable.
Despite a massive head start, BlueSky has now overtaken Threads in the US 👇

Yep. As my mother would say “this too shall pass.”
I am currently reading The Complete Memoirs Of Ulysses S. Grant and am pleased to report the Republic has been this fucked before and survived. 🧐 🇺🇸
