yeah humanities and social sciences are taught terribly in Australia (I say as someone who did an history/human geography bachelor and is 80% thru a urban planning masters). some of our unis punch a bit above their weight but really it's usually only in specific faculties

working holiday visas also not a terrible option for spending some time here to work out if it's your vibe iirc. but make sure you don't do the pathway that means you need to spend 3 months picking fruit in remote areas to get your visa extended
