No idea why an Afghan refugee shot National Guard soldiers within walking distance of the White House, but this new USCIS directive was revealed on Monday. Worth noting.
The folks at @afghanevac.bsky.social have in hand a new USCIS directive which largely targets Afghan refugees who fled the Taliban in the wake of the U.S. withdrawal in 2021.

Hegseth just announced because of this he is putting 500 more guard there. That makes no sense to me. Oh and of course Patel has to get on TV as well
Whether this was random street crime or targeted political violence, I think it was bad for the president to unnecessarily put the National Guard in harm’s way like this. They simply don’t need to be there.

So Hegseth is trying to belittle Mark Kelly by referring to him as 'Captain', which was Kelly's highest rank. What Hegseth is ignorant of is that Captain is a very senior rank in the Navy, unlike the other Branch Service such as the Army.

So Americans can no longer marry people from other countries? This should be a huge story. It should be a huge story in that they keep trying to deport any people here going through the process.
She was in the final process of getting approved for her green card. It was her last immigration hearing. Katie was with her husband, an American abd holding their infant son.

Why did they do this? It wasn’t just nursing…it was education, counseling, social work,OT, PT, PA and speech pathology as a partial list. Most female dominated and a lot that are post graduate. This seems like it should be a bigger story. It’s slipping by unnoticed.
This is absolute bullshit! Nurses are nothing short of heroes. Along with teachers, nurses were already some of most under appreciated, and under paid professions out there. What a slap in the face. There’s already a serious shortage of qualified nursing professionals!
