It would be interesting sci-fi or fantasy to be immortal but your brain unavoidably deteriorates the longer you live, to match the cognitive functions of whatever animal in nature lives that long. Like imagine there's a person who's 400 years old but they have the brain power of a Greenland shark.

You could only handle it if you had the cognitive capacity of a tree. Which is basically the same as dying. You are going to die.

People keep assuming we neurodivergent people are completely clueless about our own behavior. But it can annoy ourselves just as much as it can annoy others. People just don't want to believe that we can be completely aware of problematic behavior but still struggle to stop it. That'd be scary.
