An industry that can only survive by theft should die. It’s really not a difficult decision.

I think the fascination comes from the basic idea of a global criminal conspiracy masterminded by an ancient undead sorcerer is just so much fun. And with Howard’s ability to write action driven stories, it carries a lot of promise. Unfortunately the result is a terribly racist and messy story.

Man, you don't ask much.

Okay, so the idea of a multi-ethnic, multi-national, international criminal organization that depends on a secret, communal primordial religion of non-white peoples draws obvious influences from Sax Rohmer's FU MANCHU novels & Robert W. Chambers' THE SLAYER OF SOULS (1920).

Why put nasty hairy little men in a setting when you can have ducks? It doesn't make any sense.

I got thinking about hit points in #TTRPG and figured some folks might like to read about the early years. #DnD isn't the only damage system, and some of the early ones are still popular to this day.

It's okay for the abyss to stare back, but does it have to wink?

That's just unseemly.

I'm in this new book of weird stories of the future (extra weird!). I think it's about 2/3rds reprints, pretty sure HG Wells didn't write a new piece; trade paper, includes Robert Silverberg, Charles Beaumont, Harlan Ellison, Larry Niven, many others. My story is brand new. And it's quite weird. 💙📚

It’s fun for me to think about how a gaming session with my friends last summer was turned into a published scenario, and is now mentioned by Chaosium. It make me giddy with joy.

It’s a great joy to see my scenario that started out as a mostly improvised private gaming session being mentioned by Chaosium. Harald Smith generously helped me getting it into shape for publication and included it in his awesome book Nochet: The Great Libray.
