Mind you, I'm not a huge perfume person though I do have a couple of favorites. I love Indigo by Nest and blood by BPAL. Other than those, though, I'm usually just like a plain jasmine or rose kind of person.

If you're looking for beautifully illustrated, extremely sexy, dark but also joyful queer af smut then I cannot recommend Lucifer's Garden by @hamletmachine.bsky.social enough. Just a stunning work.

Oooh, I like this idea a lot! I think I'd want my signature scent to be like comforting but sexy. Like cinnamon and vanilla but with something a little darker...

My other thought

What I would want my signature perfume to evoke

- top level aether , ozone ocean , metal
- burnt sugars and incense
- a hothouse garden

I think more people should be aware of how much cool stuff Link does in real life. He’s not just a poster.

“As a neurodiversity advocate and as an autistic person, I’m really grateful for so much of the work that’s been done that allows me to be myself and to be successful being myself.” Link, who has been *banned*!?!? from this platform?

We live in a country & society that is built on racism. The neurodivergent community isn't free of that racism—per Autistic advocate AJ Link.

Ok, that was a weird phrase, I'm tired and pissed and should probably go do something useful like eat.

Thank you for speaking up, knowing you're going to get this kind of asshattery. It's so frustrating but i'm glad to see speaking up.

It's easy to say white supremacy is guys burning crosses or going to college campuses and saying that Black gang members are the primary problem with gun violence in the United States

It's harder to admit that it's in all the small ways folks allow people to devalue Black life on a daily basis

Like, this is what we're supposed to do. Democracy is active, participatory, not passive. Or you end up where we are, right now, and again. And again. "What if it makes the fascists more mad?" is not a strategy it's fear and capitulation. They're always mad.

You could just talk about Jim Crow. I promise you, there's no need to leave America's shores to talk about life in a fascist state
motherjones.com
Under the Third Reich, most Germans generally lived in the law-bound normative state, while Jews and other disfavored people were victims of the arbitrary and violent prerogative state.

The dual state is characterized by the facade of normalcy obscuring the fact of an authoritarian state.
The “dual state” theory was invented to describe Nazis. The Supreme Court could take us there.
Authoritarianism—but make it look like the rule of law.

Y'all gotta stop deciding you heard "don't vote" when people say "I am holding this specific shitty Dem/all shitty Dems accountable for their policies/words/actions". And then go do something actually productive like call your reps instead of crawling into my mentions to be scoldy idiots.
monsterteatime.bsky.social
Also, I love how people hear what we didn't say every time we're critical of Newsom or any other shitty Dem. I have never said "don't vote". Not once. Or that I won't. And yet.
monsterteatime.bsky.social
I literally said I did vote and will vote. I am going to hold their asses accountable. This isn't difficult, it's the whole point of democracy. What are YOU doing besides trying to scold people with some shit you made up in your head? Something tells me, not much.
monsterteatime.bsky.social
RIGHT? They have convinced themselves this just "strategy" and no, it isn't. It's how we got here, quite literally.

I think if we know anything about social media companies at this point it’s that the main problem they have are human beings using their service
nytimes.com
Meta’s new A.I.-generated video app, Vibes, launched last month to overwhelmingly negative reception. The “Hard Fork” co-hosts discussed why. "It’s essentially like TikTok, but if TikTok were populated just by little animated A.I.-generated shorts." nyti.ms/4ocx2LW
A quote from Kevin Roose, co-host of "Hard Fork": "I was not surprised to see Meta announcing a version of essentially a social network with no actual people on it. I think this is the direction that they’ve been moving for several years now."
monsterteatime.bsky.social
You do not improve things by never holding obviously two-faced and conservative Dems accountable for their "just a little fascism" policies. And it doesn't prevent outright fascists from being elected. Evidence? ::points at everything::
monsterteatime.bsky.social
We are going to buried under the weight of people arguing that we should never tell elected Dems when they are wrong/doing bad things because otherwise the other side will get elected to do worse things they have already been elected to do and are doing when people also said not to criticize Dems.

You could accessorize this one really easily with a headdress or jewelry? I always end up going with "comfortable" over any other consideration because I just can't have fun if I don't feel good in something.

monsterteatime.bsky.social
They're also trying to ban mail-in voting, and more. My point is that it is "in question" not yet impossible to vote. And there are a lot of reasons Tr*mp "won" that I have no interest in debating. My point is about Newsom and holding Dems accountable.
monsterteatime.bsky.social
:;sigh:: There are a bunch of things. Gerrymandering efforts have skyrocketed. Poll intimidation. Militarized presence in cities. The fact that this admin has more than once suggested they will ignore any election outcome they don't win. There are threats to it. We should still vote.
