Climate change is increasing the frequency and severity of flooding in the Philippines. I'd argue what we're seeing in the country now is a good example of a climate security risk -- government corruption preventing investment in adaptation (flood control) leading to massive street protests.

I’ve been building plastic models since i can remember. One of my earliest were tamiya 4WD racers. Hearing this news leaves a hole in my heart like when i lost my grandparents.
RIP Shunsaku Tamiya, age 90, the chairman of legendary modelmaker Tamiya. He didn't found the company, but started working there in 1958, just four years after its founding, and helped it shift from its original line of wooden models into the plastic kits it is so well known for today.
