Respectfully, I think your take on this is wrong.

Our PM has used this line with Trump before. Trump sees it as flattery. It’s actually a subtle rebuke of what he’s transformed the US into both domestically and internationally. Carney's a smart guy, and he's right to say Trump is transformative.

I truly hope you're right. I think both Trump and Carney are under pressure to deliver something so there's common ground. Problem is Trump doesn't operate in the real world and his propagandists will spin anything into a win (for him). Will be watching this closely today.
