Rewatching #LordoftheRings Fellowship of the Ring it strikes me that these films were made so well and are so highly regarded, that no one is even considering remaking them. In fact the new films that have been announced build on the design work and sensibility of these films.

Time for a watch of #LordoftheRings Fellowship of the Ring, extended edition obviously!

Enjoying reading the current issue (January 2026) of #VeganFoodandLiving magazine this morning. There are some good articles and recipes for those who are Vegan curious in this issue.

Just one episode of #StarWarsYoungJediAdventures left to watch before the series is over, saving that final one for tomorrow.

On my 2nd Harry Potter film of the day. Only put the first on as I couldn’t decide on what to watch this afternoon.

Just logged in to check the backups have run fine since we left on the 24th. A few issues that needed sorting but mostly a paperwork exercise to minimise work when we return on the 5th. Now to watch a bit of Classic Doctor Who before lunch.

Anyone else say Thank you to their AI after it completes the command you asked it to do. I feel awkward if I don’t say it after asking Siri to adjust or turn off the lights. Given that’s 99% of what I use it for… #IsItJustMe

Time to get comfortable and settle down with a good book until I fall asleep. Just about to start reading “The galaxy and the ground within” by #BeckyChambers. Book 4 in the #Wayfarers series, a series I only started reading this year, and have enjoyed every book so far. Shame this is the last one.

Film finished and “Mr Amazon” then kindly delivered the animated #DoctorWho Blu-Ray’s I’d ordered. Almost as it they timed it. (The Celestial Toymaker and The Savages) Saving these for later in the week though! Thinking a New Year’s Eve marathon.

Well the #MadameWebb film wasn’t as bad as I’d been led to expect. Not one I can see myself watching again, but it was an entertaining watch. I’d been led to believe it was as bad or even worse than the 2004 Catwoman film with Halle Berry and it was nowhere near as bad.

Just stumbled upon this artist and this has to be my favourite of the pieces they’ve posted here. I can see myself buying prints of a couple of pieces once I actually have somewhere to hang them.

Finally got around to watching #TheFantasticFourFirstSteps on Disney+ this evening. It was OK, better than I was expecting but nothing special. Still I thought it was better than a lot of the recent Marvel films though. Maybe an early step on an upswing for them? 🤞

Definitely need one of those tickets! Anyone want to be my + 1? 🤭
Got my tickets for New Years Eve. It’s going to be a fun night!

Tried to cancel a subscription service today and ended up very frustrated. First of all was fine. Logged in, found the link to cancel. Then 3 pages of “please stay with this deal” before a “you must call on this number to cancel”, a number that’s only live on a weekday!

Just used some of my Christmas vouchers to buy a couple of secondhand books about Daisy Greville, Countess of Warwick. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daisy_G.... Learned about her after reading an info board along the #GreatDunmow #FlitchWay on my Christmas Day walk, and want to find out more about her.

At some point today I’ll be watching Dr. Who and the Daleks en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr._Who.... Not watched this classic film since it was on TV in the 90s, and never got around to buying a copy for my Doctor Who DVD library. Bought myself a digital copy late yesterday along with the follow up film.

12YO girl signed up to do “stand up comedy” at the talent show. 13YO boy decided to heckle her. Teacher started to tell the boy to leave her alone, but the 12YO comedian said “no, no, let him go, this is the closest he’s ever going to get to having a conversation with a girl.”

ICE detain father shopping on Christmas Eve—then steal his family's groceries.

Then 3 agents divvy up his paid for food—taking what they want for themselves.

"Can I just get the wife's number to call and let her know?" woman asks.

"No, guess he should've complied," agent says.
