We had a brilliant time this past Thursday listening to the Da Vinci Junior High School students read from TO THE HUMAN RACE, their latest chapbook of poems. Such passionate poems about their place in the world as they face the tragedy of the climate crisis. Bravo! #poetry #poetrycommunity #poetnews

"I co-wrote Trump's first anti-
terrorism plan in 2017-2018. He's not
trying to stop "left wing" terrorism.
He is staging it.

His troop deployments are a false
flag - meant to provoke a response
in order to justify harsh crackdowns.
This is now very obvious."

Editors have a really hard job, and the good ones can make something unreadable readable, and the great ones can make something unreadable into something good. But they're basically invisible, until someone tries to write without one.

If I were running in next year's midterms, I'd be saying: Aussies are getting free electricity, and we're getting huge price spikes.

Because they built solar, and Trump is blocking it.

Free Electricity. Like, at no cost. For everyone. Now.
Let's talk about affordability, abundance, and Australia--and why thanks to Trump we can't have nice things

If they didn't have bad faith, they'd have no faith at all.
While Stephen Miller claims that Democrats calling him a fascist constitutes incitement, there are hundreds of examples of Miller publicly calling Democrats fascists.

ICE arrested the husband of a Dem candidate, a disabled U.S. Army vet in a wheelchair, at his own naturalization hearing.

Muhammad Zahid Chaudhry has lived here 25+ yrs, earned multiple medals, & served with Veterans for Peace. He has a green card.

This is racist political persecution.

A ray of hope in a dark time.
@billmckibben.bsky.social delivers.
Globally, roughly a third more power is being generated from the sun this spring than last. If this exponential rate of growth can continue, we will soon live in a very different world, @billmckibben.bsky.social writes.
4.6 Billion Years On, the Sun Is Having a Moment
In the past two years, without much notice, solar power has begun to truly transform the world’s energy system.

Why isn’t anything going on in the senate?
Why are the senators sitting there without legislating?

Because the barbarians are coming today.
What’s the point of senators making laws now?
Once the barbarians are here, they’ll do the legislating.

It shouldn't be called Alligator Alcatraz. It's not a prison. Alacatraz was a prison, housing people convicted by juries, after a trial, sentenced by a judge, after arguments, due process, and with legal representation.

Again, it's not a prison. It's a concentration camp. It's Alligator Auschwitz.
